Commissioner Lynda Bell designates Paul S. Barrow Avenue

The Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners, at the request of Commissioner Lynda Bell, co-designated S.W. 102nd Avenue, between S.W. 120th Street and S.W. 136th Street, as "Paul S. Barrow Avenue" - in honor of slain resident Paul S. Barrow who was killed at his place of work in the early morning hours of December 16, 2010.  Commissioner Bell will be hosting a ceremony to commemorate the street renaming on the morning of Tuesday, June 28, 2011.  The community is welcome to attend the street rededication.

Paul S. Barrow, husband and father of three, as well as a longtime resident of Miami-Dade County, was randomly and needlessly murdered at his Kendall automotive repair shop on the morning of December 16, 2010.  Mr. Barrow was known and loved throughout his community for his hard work, selfless generosity and community participation.  Commissioner Bell felt it fitting to honor Mr. Barrow's life by re-designating a portion of SW 102th Avenue as "Paul S. Barrow Avenue."
