District 8 residents invited to FREE Thanksgiving food distribution in South Dade


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 
With the holidays approaching, Commissioner Lynda Bell is inviting residents to her First Annual Thanksgiving Food Giveaway on Saturday, November 12, 2011. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Commissioner Bell will join volunteers from Farm Share and the Parks Foundation of Miami-Dade in distributing free Thanksgiving staples to residents in need at South Dade Park, 28151 SW 164 Avenue. 

Food will be distributed while supplies last. This event is open to residents of District 8 only; picture IDs showing residents’ addresses will be required prior to receiving food. To determine if you live in District 8, please visit and click the “Who is my Commissioner?” link in the Commission News section. The subsequent page will determine who your commissioner is based on your address.
