Work Days - Brooks Tropical
Vice Chair Lynda Bell recently toured the Brooks Tropicals packing and distribution plant in Homestead earlier this month, as part of her monthly “Work Days” program. She learned firsthand, the pressures and challenges that small businesses in her district face, especially those in the agricultural industry.
Installation Ceremony
Commissioner Lynda Bell was formally sworn –in as Vice Chair of the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners by Miami-Dade County Judge Gladys Perez on Friday January 18, 2013. Vice Chair Bell thanked colleagues for their vote of confidence in her new leadership role.

First Annual South Dade Community Job Fair
On Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M., the Office of Vice Chair Bell will host the First Annual South Dade Community Job Fair at the Miami Dade College Homestead Campus. For more information, please call 305-378-6677.
Redland Blues & Barbecue Festival returns on April 20 -21
Enjoy savory barbecue and foot stomping blues and country music at the 3rd Annual Redland Blues & Barbecue Festival at the Fruit & Spice Park.
The two-day festival, presented by Miami-Dade Parks and Miami-Dade County District 8 Commissioner Lynda Bell, occurs Saturday, April 20 through Sunday, April 21.
Vice Chair Lynda Bell Dedicates and Breaks Ground on Marilyn Hope’s Place, the Newest Senior Community Center in Cutler Bay
In a moving ceremony attended by County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez, Commissioner Dennis Moss, and municipal leaders from around the county, as well as residents and close family members alike, Commission Vice Chair Lynda Bell broke ground on Marilyn Hope’s Place, the newest, state-of-the-art, Senior Community Center in Cutler Bay.

Applications are no longer available.
Completed applications will be accepted from February 20 - February 25.
There will be an information/workshop meeting explaining the application and requirements held on February 19, 2013, 6 p.m. at the South Dade Government Center, 10710 SW 211 Street, Suite 203.

"Our South Florida community is simply overjoyed to hear the news that our young American Patriot and my Palmetto Bay constituent, Jon Hammar, is scheduled to be released from a Mexican prison sometime today December 21, just in time to be reunited with his family for Christmas," said Commissioner Bell.

County Commissioner Lynda Bell became the recipient of the Dade County Farm Bureau's prestigious Agricultural Advocacy Award for championing the many issues facing the South Florida agriculture industry.
