Parks and Greenway Trails Planning
A critical component of developing Miami-Dade's parks and greenway trails is the input the County receives from neighbors and future users of the proposed recreation space.
Important information about parks and greenway trail meetings will be posted here so you can access information and attend community meetings for the great parks and recreation projects being planned in our area.
Biscayne-Everglades (National Parks) Greenway Trail
The Biscayne-Everglades Greenway Trail, spearheaded by the City of Homestead, is envisioned to connect the two National Parks through an attractive and functional bike and pedestrian corridor through the City.

Black Creek Greenway Trail
Thanks to the Building Better Communities bond passed by the voters in 2004, funding will be available to develop the Black Creek Greenway Trail. This trail connects Larry & Penny Thompson Park (184 Street and 132 Avenue) to Black Point Park and Marina (theoretical 224 Street and 87 Avenue). Initial project planning is underway. Future community meeting information will be posted here when available.
