County Commissioner Lynda Bell's statement on the death of Osama bin Laden

“Today, we celebrate and rejoice in knowing that the worst terrorist in our nation’s history has been killed by some of the finest military men our country has produced - our U.S. Navy SEALS.  We also remember with the greatest respect and reverence, the 3,000 lives lost on September 11th 2001.  I want to personally thank the families of the brave men and women of our military whose lives have been lost and those who have been wounded in defending our nation against radical Islamic terrorism.  Furthermore, I salute all of our men and women currently serving in the armed forces.  I can personally attest to their devotion to their country as I have my youngest daughter’s husband, and the father of their child, dedicating his life defending our freedoms in Iraq.  May your missions be brief and may all of you come back home soon.”
