Over 750 Job Seekers attend Commissioner Lynda Bell’s 2011 Miami-Dade County Jobs and Resource Fair

Miami-Dade County Commissioner Lynda Bell, along with Miami-Dade County Chairman Joe A. Martinez, Commissioner Jose "Pepe" Diaz, and State Representative; Frank Artiles, hosted the 2011 Miami-Dade County Jobs and Resource Fair at the Miami-Dade College's Kendall Campus this past Saturday, October 15, 2011.

Over 750 job seekers were able to present their qualifications to prospective employers throughout the day, as well as participate in a number of seminars, presented by South Florida Workforce, designed to enhance the applicant's skills at securing employment, including resume writing, power first impression, acing a job interview, managing your career search, as well as easing the transitions for veterans, and professional placement.

"During this extremely challenging economic climate, I am delighted to have the opportunity to co-host productive events like these which are designed to give the unemployed residents of our community a valuable chance to network with prospective employers, apply for available positions, and sharpen their job searching skills.  Our residents need all the help they can get and I look forward to co-hosting events like these in the future until our economy fully recovers from the current downturn." - Said Commissioner Bell.
