Statement by Vice Chair Lynda Bell on the decision to bring the Guinness International Champions Cup to Sun Life Stadium

The Dolphins organization and the Miami-Dade County Sports Consortium, in their efforts to bring world-class soccer to Miami-Dade County, have officially announced today the eight international clubs that will be participating in the new international soccer tournament, the Guinness International Champions Cup, which is scheduled to take place on August 6th and 7th, 2013 at Sun Life Stadium.

"As the newly appointed Chairperson of the Miami Dade County Sports Commission, I am thrilled to help welcome the International Champions Cup, which is scheduled to take place in August at Sun Life Stadium,"

said Commissioner Lynda Bell. "Events like these help to stimulate the local economy, create hundreds of temporary jobs, and provides for world-class sporting to be enjoyed both by local and international fans. I applaud Stephen Ross and the Dolphins organization for leading the charge in attracting world class events to Miami-Dade County."

The eight teams which will be participating in this spectacular tournament will include:
