Vice Chair Lynda Bell and the Leadership of the Everglades Foundation working together to protect the Everglades
Miami, FL - At the invitation of Mr. David Lawrence, Jr., Chairman of the Children Movement of Florida, and notable environmental activist, along with the leadership of the renowned Everglades Foundation, Commission Vice Chair Lynda Bell spent Friday on a day-long private tour of the Everglades National Park, in order to work together to find solutions to preserve and restore South Florida’s most delicate and priceless ecosystems, and the source of our precious water supply – “The River of Grass.”
During the tour, Vice Chair Bell met with notable ecologists, conservationists, environmental experts and scientists – all working together for the sole mission to maintain and restore this, most delicate ecosystem to its original glory.
“I was delighted to have had the opportunity to join Dave Lawrence and the Everglades Foundation on this most critical fact-finding tour of Everglades National Park, said Vice Chair Bell. Along with Florida State Legislators and U.S. Congressional leaders, I look forward to working together with the highly respected Everglades Foundation, on their priorities to restore and save the Everglades for ourselves and the future of our South Florida community.”
