Vice Chair Lynda Bell announces 2014 “Mom & Pop” Grant application period for Small Businesses in Commission District 8

(Miami-Dade, FL) - Vice Chair Lynda Bell is inviting all small businesses in District 8 to take advantage of the County’s annual “Mom & Pop” grant program designed to support commercial and home-based businesses in her district. Home-based businesses can receive up to $2,000 and commercial-based enterprises may obtain up to $4,000.

“At a time where our economic future continues to remain uncertain, it is gratifying to know that our County government is still making these funds available to small business owners in support of their day-to-day operations, said Vice Chair Bell. “In many cases, these critical grants may be the direct economic stimulus small businesses need to remain open and viable entities, and even expand their services.”
