Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava brings district office back to South Dade Government Center, holds County Services Fair
Cutler Bay, FL- Today, Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava held the grand opening of her new district office in the South Dade Government Center. The district office is returning to the Government Center after being located in a private shopping center throughout the previous four years.
“During my campaign, I promised that the District 8 office would return to the South Dade Government Center. The new location will make it easier for the residents of South Dade to access more county services in one location, whether it’s speaking with their commissioner, paying their water bill or going to the Justice Center. Although we have been operating from our new location for several weeks, I wanted to hold a county services fair to showcase the diverse array of services available to Miami-Dade residents,” said Commissioner Levine Cava.
The opening included a county services fair where nearly two dozen county departments provided information about their services, including Public Works, Transit, Animal Services, Miami-Dade Police and Miami-Dade Fire. In order to promote energy efficiency and water conservation, the Commissioner’s office also hosted a lightbulb and showerhead exchange. Attendees dropped off book donations for children and incarcerated adults, and cell phones for victims of domestic violence.
“I would like to thank all of the departments who joined us today, as well as the South Ridge High School Jazz band for providing such rousing entertainment, the ROTC Color Guard for presenting the colors this morning, the Homestead Hospital for their sponsorship and Catering by Les for providing the delicious refreshments,” she added.
The District office will be open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and can be reached by phone at 305-378-6677. In addition to the office in the South Dade Government Center, Commissioner Levine Cava holds monthly office hours the second Wednesday of every month at Homestead City Hall.
