Miami-Dade County Employees Donate to Victims of Pulse Shooting
Today Miami-Dade County Commissioners held a special presentation to recognize the $13,696.06 contribution made by the County to the OneOrlando fund, which benefits the victims and family members of the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando. Miami-Dade County employees contributed their unused annual and holiday leave time to the fund after Commissioner Levine Cava sponsored a resolution authorizing the donations from employees in June.
“This is a clear sign of solidarity from our community with Orlando,” said Commissioner Levine Cava. “I am impressed with the generosity of our County employees who stepped up in a time of need.”
