Walk Against Crime 10/12/2007
As the sun set, several hundred local citizens, Miami-Dade police officers, local elected officials and media personalities gathered in front of the Cutler Ridge Target Store to show their respect, unity and support for Miami-Dade police officer Jody Wright and to participate in a candlelight walk against crime and violence.

Commissioner Sorenson Supports Mayor's Mortgage Fraud Crackdown 10/5/2007
The first round of arrests warrants for criminals dealing in mortgage fraud schemes brought in 11 people with two suspects still at large. At a recent press conference Mayor Carlos Alvarez presented the cases where these individuals are suspected of committing mortgage fraud.
