Hello and welcome to the web site for County Commission District 9, the largest geographic district in Miami-Dade County. Since 1993, I have proudly represented the residents of this area, which includes portions of Miami-Dade County as far south as the Monroe County line. Since I was first elected, I have had the opportunity to serve my community and help pass legislation that makes a difference in our neighborhoods, as you can see in my News Releases, Legislation Sponsored and Photo Gallery web pages.

Chairman Moss, Team Moss and the American Cancer Society are grateful to all who participated in the fundraising efforts. The event generated nearly $30,000.00 in fundraising efforts, surpassing the $25,000.00 goal previously set.

Miami-Dade County Chairman Dennis C. Moss announces the county's new "Miami Marlins" stadium.  The special meeting to determine the team's fate started at 1:00 p.m. with a presentation, followed by a public discussion.

Chairman Moss and the County Commission submitted a letter to President Barack Obama on March 17, asking him to grant Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to all Haitian immigrants currently residing in the United States.
