Commissioner Dennis C. Moss and area pastors to hold community meeting in response to recent police involved shooting in West Perrine


(MIAMI, FL) – On December 30, 2016, the Miami-Dade County Police Department reported the fatal police involved shooting of 21-year-old Jamal Rollins in the South Dade community of West Perrine. This incident happened at about 6:55 P.M. in the 10100 block of West Indigo Street following a traffic stop. In response to this incident, County Commissioner Dennis C. Moss, area pastors and law enforcement officials will hold a community meeting at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 3 at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in an effort to provide an update to concerned residents about the case. This community meeting is open to the public. The church is located at 10701 SW 184th Street, Miami, FL 33157 in the community of West Perrine.
