Commissioners McGhee and Cohen Higgins to host evening drive-through food distribution to accommodate working families’ schedules

MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commissioners Kionne L. McGhee and Danielle Cohen Higgins, in partnership with the Woman’s Club of Homestead and City of Homestead Councilwomen Jennifer Bailey and Erica Avila, will host a free drive-through food distribution on Friday, Feb. 19, from 5 p.m. until supplies run out, at the Woman’s Club of Homestead, 17905 SW 292th St.

“This is one of the first food distributions to be done in the late afternoon/early evening hours for those working families that are still struggling to make ends meet due to the pandemic,” Commissioner McGhee said.

Motorists must remain in their vehicles with their windows up and their trunks open to receive food.
