Commissioner McGhee to host community clean up along Homestead Avenue

MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Kionne L. McGhee, in partnership with the Miami-Dade Solid Waste Management Department, Miami-Dade Public Housing and Community Development, Omega Psi Phi, Empty Bowls and local churches, will host a “Let’s Clean Things Up” event to clean up Homestead Avenue on Saturday, March 20, from 8 to 11 a.m. The starting point will be the West Perrine Health Center, 18255 Homestead Ave., Perrine, FL 33157. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m.

“This is a great opportunity for people to meet their neighbors and build pride in the community,” Commissioner McGhee said.

Participants must wear face masks in accordance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines.
