Miami-Dade Commissioner Kionne McGhee provides huge opportunity with Kids’ Business Expo!
MIAMI-DADE – More than 40 young kids and teenagers will have the opportunity to showcase their businesses at the Kids’ Business Expo, sponsored by Commissioner Kionne McGhee, on Saturday, Dec. 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Gold Coast Railroad Museum, 12450 SW 152nd St.
Commissioner McGhee’s goal is to encourage more creativity in the community, as well as give kidpreneurs an opportunity to explore ways to utilize their talents and gifts to run a profitable business.
Kidpreneurs ranging from ages 8 to 17 will function as vendors and sell their products. The event will also feature an author’s corner, live music provided by young talented artists and cooking presentations conducted by young chefs.
The event will be hosted by London Miller, also known as Londonade, who gained national attention for delivering her gourmet flavored lemonade to first responders during the Surfside condo collapse. Mina Boomer, a young correspondent, will be on site interviewing participants.
“I am committed to inspiring a new generation of young people to embrace their entrepreneurial spirit,” said Commissioner McGhee. “I want those who attend and participate to never forget the experience.”
