Miami-Dade County Commissioner Dennis C. Moss welcomes Jackson Health System (JHS)
President and CEO Carlos Migoya as guest speaker to Roundtable meeting in District 9
On Wednesday, August 3, 2011, Miami-Dade County Commissioner Dennis C. Moss welcomed Jackson Health System's (JHS) President & CEO Carlos Migoya as guest speaker for the August roundtable meeting held at the South Dade Government Center located at 10710 SW 211th Street in Cutler Bay.
Mr. Migoya, a Miami banker and former city manager, who now serves as chief executive of Jackson Health System, was invited by Commissioner Moss to address the Round table guests and share his vision for and provide an update of the New Jackson South Community Hospital located at 9333 S.W.152nd Street. In early April 2011, Mr. Migoya replaced President and CEO of Jackson, Dr. Eneida Roldan.

The new building's design included the Miami-Dade Art in Public Places program. Local artist Leonel Matheu provided designs in the building that featured an Everglades theme with different floors reflecting grass, water and flowers.
