(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- At the monthly board meeting hosted by the Greater Miami Convention and Visitor's Bureau, the Miami-Dade County Community Image Advisory Board honored and thanked its chairman and founder, Commissioner Dennis C. Moss for his tremendous Miami-Dade County leadership and dedication to the evolution of Miami-Dade County as a world-class destination. Miami-Dade County, Mayor Carlos Gimenez presented Commissioner Moss with a plaque acknowledging his contribution to the community and also presented the CIAB with a Miami-Dade County Proclamation that honored them for their years of service attending to the image of Miami-Dade County.
Developed in 2002, the Community Image Advisory Board was proposed and created by Commissioner Moss. His vision was to ensure Miami-Dade County's major gateways and streetscapes were valued and cared for through community stewardship, connecting the idea that the physical condition of our community has a direct impact on the economic vitality of the region. In order to do this well, Commissioner Moss proposed that government look beyond the jurisdictional boundaries of our agencies and work together.
"We are proud of the impact that this board has made throughout Miami-Dade County knowing that we are creating a community where people want to live, work and visit"
The mission of the CIAB is to develop partnerships, principles, and projects that support the sustainable beautification and greening of our community through scenic vistas, tree-lined streets, lush landscaping in high-traffic areas and popular destinations, and livable neighborhoods that reflect a world class image of Miami-Dade County.
