Commissioner Souto organizes tribute to D-Day
Miami-Dade County Commissioner Sen. Javier D. Souto is organizing an exhibit commemorating that historic landing will be on display from Monday, June 2 through Friday, June 13 in the lobby of the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 NW 1st St. The exhibit pays tribute the 70th anniversary of D-Day, which launched the successful Allied invasion of Normandy and marked the beginning of the liberation of Western Europe from Nazi occupation during World War II.
“D-Day is one of the truly momentous events of the last century, and we should never forget the courage and sacrifice of the brave troops who saved Europe and the world for democracy so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have today,” said Sen. Souto.
Make your voice heard!
Commissioner Souto invites the public to attend his regular town hall meetings and other weekly events in which residents can relay their comments and concerns about County government.Back to Top Page Last Edited: Fri Aug 29, 2014 9:01:16 AM
