(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- Commissioner Javier D. Souto begins the year with Thursday Bookmobile visits at the Spring Tree apartments located at 10355 SW 40th Street, Miami, Florida. The residents of this apartment building are mostly elderly with limited mobility and Commissioner Souto is making sure they too have access to our county public libraries. His first visit to the Spring Tree Bookmobile events will take place this Thursday, January 13th at from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
At the mobile library service or Bookmobile, county residents are able to borrow books, music, audio books, and videos using a Miami-Dade Public Library card. The library card can also be issued at the Bookmobile if the resident does not have one or if the one they have is outdated. The materials borrowed may be returned next time the mobile library is at the apartment building or at any branch location in the county. Materials borrowed from branch libraries may also be returned on Thursdays when the mobile library is at the Spring Tree apartment building. Most books may be borrowed for a period of 28 days and videos may be borrowed for a period of 7 days.
To mark the Commissioner’s first visit to Spring Tree apartment building’s Bookmobile, there will be a welcoming reception at 3:30 p.m. and District 10’s mobile office will also be on premise to serve the constituents with any type of government concerns.
