Commissioner Souto welcomes David Beckham to Kendall Soccer Park

MIAMI, FL – As part of his visit to Miami-Dade to announce his plans to bring his Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise to the County, David Beckham will visit Kendall Soccer Park, 8011 S.W. 127th Avenue, on Wednesday, Feb. 5 from 4 to 5 p.m. to meet and greet youth soccer players. County Mayor Carlos Gimenez and District 10 Commissioner Javier Souto also will be participating in the event.

“I’m thrilled that Mr. Beckham has chosen to visit Kendall Soccer Park, which happens to be in my district, to check out the wonderful soccer facilities and artificial turf the park offers,” Commissioner Souto said.

Beckham is in negotiations with the County to lease County-owned land for an MLS soccer stadium.
