Commissioner Zapata celebrated Library Week by reading to children, donating books to libraries

MIAMI, FL – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Juan C. Zapata read the book “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” to children at the West Kendall Regional Library on April 14 as part of National Library Week's “Leaders Read at Libraries.”

Commissioner Zapata’s office also donated 20 books on the libraries’ most-requested list to the Lakes of the Meadow and Kendale Lakes branch libraries.

The Commissioner’s office is seeking donations from the public for another 20 books that the libraries have requested. All donations will be distributed to the West Kendall Regional Library and the Kendale Lakes, Lakes of the Meadow and Tamiami branch libraries.
