West Kendall/West Dade Unfunded Infrastructure Needs

Below is a list of public infrastructure deficiencies that have been identified or confirmed by various Miami-Dade County Departments. Currently, no source of public or private funding has been identified for these projects. This list will be updated periodically as the County municipal services departments, County engineers, and professionals identify the need for drainage improvements to prevent flooding, reduce traffic congestion and improve traffic safety.

It will also include improvements in our parks to better serve the needs of our residential neighborhoods and our families and children, as well as infrastructure improvements to serve the needs of our existing businesses and attract new industry and businesses to West Kendall and West Dade.

As we are able to identify and earmark funds to address the infrastructure deficiencies through existing County revenue sources, Federal or State grants, private sector monetary or in-kind assistance to Miami-Dade County, this project list will be updated.

At the same time, as constituents contact our Office or Miami-Dade County to report a flooding issue, a broken sidewalk, a park need, a perceived traffic improvement need, etc., and the professional staff of the corresponding County department are able to confirm the deficiency and recommend a capital improvement to address the deficiency, the list of infrastructure projects for which we need to identify funding will grow.
