This program is designed to lower the cost of virtually all prescriptions for Florida residents. Residents must be 60 years or older without any prescription drug coverage or those who fall into the Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage Gap. Residents who are 60 years and younger are eligible to enroll if they are also without prescription drug coverage and if they have a annual family income of less than 300% of the Federal Poverty Level.

C-4 Flood Mitigation Project
As part of the C-4 Flood Mitigation Project funded by FEMA South Florida Water Management will be dredging a portion of the C-4 (Tamiami) Canal along SW 8th Street from 132nd Ave to the Florida Turnpike approx 117th Ave.

The dredging will begin sometime in the first week of October for approximately 6 week schedule from Monday thru Saturday from Sunrise to Sunset. The local residents may experience noise and vibrations as a result of the dredging activities.
