Commissioner Jose "Pepe" Diaz hosts annual holiday luncheon for District 12 seniors

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --
Commissioner Jose "Pepe" Diaz's much-anticipated annual holiday luncheon for seniors living in District 12 will be on Wednesday, December 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel, 711 NW 72 Avenue.  The event is always a treat for seniors who particularly enjoy the company of the famous Latin soap opera stars and musicians who come to celebrate with them.

"I enjoy celebrating this event every year," said Commissioner Diaz. "I'm grateful that the celebrities who come to the party are able to bring so much joy and holiday cheer to the seniors in my district."

The celebrities who participate in this event donate their time and always look forward to visiting and dancing with the elderly. Last year, seniors were able to talk and share some laughs with actors such as Arquímedes Rivero, Norma Zúñiga, Yull Burkle, Eduardo Ibarrola, Claudia Reyes, Henry Zakkra, Carlos Yuti, Víctor Cámara, Beatriz Monroig, Paloma Márquez, Jorge Lávat, Rebeca Manrique, Elluz Peraza, Jorges Reyes, and Gabriela Borges. Singer Eduardo Antonio got the crowd going by performing four songs.

In addition to lunch and celebrity appearances, seniors will also receive small gifts and win raffle items which include gift baskets, televisions, and microwaves. This year's hostesses are actress Laura Ferretti and Despierta America television personality Ana Maria Canseco. Sponsors include the Miami Marlins and Flagler Development.
