Santa Jose "Pepe" Diaz to deliver toys to pediatric patients at University of Miami's Department of Pediatrics


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 
Commissioner Jose "Pepe" Diaz will be dressed as Santa Claus to distribute presents to the University of Miami's (UM) Department of Pediatrics patients at the UM Mailman Center for Child Development and Debbie School 1st Floor Walkway on Sunday, December 11, 2011. The event is organized by the Kids & Families Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of needy children in Miami-Dade County and focused, but not limited to, benefiting the pediatric cancer patients being treated at UM's Department of Pediatrics Hematology/Oncology Clinic located at Holtz Children's Hospital. The event will feature an annual Breakfast with Santa, with Santa making his grand entrance at 11 a.m.

The UM Mailman Center for Child Development is located at 1601 NW 12th Avenue. Participants will enjoy food, DJ Karoke, and kids' activities like arts and crafts, face-painting, storytelling and much more.  This event is not open to the public and is by invitation only.
