Free food and fun for the family at District 12 Annual Spring Festival


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 
Warm and sunny days are here and Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz is celebrating with his annual District 12 Spring Festival! Residents are invited to enjoy free food and fun at the event on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at North Trail Park, 780 NW 127 Avenue, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Families can enjoy free food, games, bounce houses, live entertainment, and lots of surprises, including special guests. There will be plenty of activities for kids. Kids are encouraged to bring their Easter baskets for an egg hunt starting at 12:30 p.m. There will also be fun activities like face painting and more.

In addition, personnel from a dozen Miami-Dade County departments will be on hand to assist residents with services, including Commissioner Diaz’s Mobile Office, Animal Services, and Canine Unit.  Other local sponsors will be handing out information and giving away free goodies to attendees.

The Annual Spring Festival is made possible through the sponsorships of the Miami Dolphins, Miami Marlins, Pepsi, Cemex, Prologis, Flagler Development, Tropical Ice LLC, Battlefield Live, South Florida Field Services, Innova Disc Golf, Miami-Dade Expressway Authority, Crystal Springs, Zoo Miami, Miami Children’s Museum, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, Civil Air Patrol, and Boy Scouts of America.
