In an effort to help residents and local businesses better understand the permitting and inspection process in Miami-Dade County, Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz, Chairman of the Land Use and Development Committee and committee members will be hosting a free workshop. This FREE Permitting and Inspection Process Workshop will take place on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Miami Dade County Auditorium located at 2901W Flagler Street Miami, FL 33175 and will be divided in two sessions:
Session 1 – Architects and Engineers and General Public
9:00AM – Noon
Session 2 – Developers, General Contractors and Trade Contractors, and General Public
2:00PM – 5:00 PM
The purpose of this workshop is to provide engineers, developers, contractors, and the public at large with an opportunity to voice concerns and proposed solutions to committee members relating to inefficiencies with the building, permitting and inspection process in Miami Dade County. The following County departments will be on hand to answer questions and hear concerns: Building & Neighborhood Compliance, Environmental Resource & Management, Planning & Zoning, Water and Sewer, Fire Rescue Inspections, and Public Works & Waste Management.
