Commissioner Diaz to help deliver Hurricane Irma relief supplies to Lower Keys


MIAMI – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz, along with Farm Share and Mayors JC Bermudez of Doral, Yioset de la Cruz of Hialeah Gardens, and Roberto Martell of the Town of Medley, will be delivering six 18-wheelers full of much-needed supplies and one box truck of ice to the Lower Keys, Ground Zero of Hurricane Irma. They will be joined by Cox Media Group.

The convoy will be staged at Commissioner Diaz’s district office at 8345 NW 12th Street on Monday, Sept. 18 starting at 4 a.m. for a 5 a.m. departure to United Methodist Church, 280 Key Deer Blvd., Big Pine Key.

The supplies include canned goods, toiletries, baby food, ice and much more.
