Commissioner Diaz and District 12 cities to collect goods for Guatemala

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz and the Mayors of municipalities located in District 12 will host a press conference TODAY to discuss their joint efforts to collect donations and provide relief for victims of the devastating volcanic eruption in Guatemala.

The press conference will take place today at 3 p.m. at Commissioner Diaz’s district office, 8345 NW 12th St., Miami FL 33126.

Commissioner Diaz will be joined by Doral Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez, Councilman Pete Cabrera, Hialeah Mayor Carlos Hernandez, Hialeah Gardens Mayor Yioset de la Cruz, Medley Mayor Roberto Martell, Sweetwater Mayor Orlando Lopez, and Virginia Gardens Mayor Spencer Deno.

The press conference will provide details about items being accepted and the locations of drop-off points for donations.
