Commissioner Diaz to depart with Hurricane Michael relief convoy for Florida Panhandle


MIAMI-DADE COUNTY – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz will be departing with a convoy of Hurricane Michael relief supplies bound for the Florida Panhandle on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 10 p.m.

The convoy, which will leave from the Miami-Dade County Warehouse, 8008 NW 14th St., will include 5 tractor trailers including 2 Farm Share trucks filled with donated goods including non-perishable foods, flashlights, batteries and first-aid kits.

Commissioner Diaz recently traveled to the Florida Panhandle on behalf of Miami-Dade County to help assess the damage and begin delivering relief and later hosted a press conference with County Mayor Carlos Gimenez and several other local leaders to discuss Hurricane Michael relief efforts and seek donations from businesses and individuals for a planned a caravan of goods to help storm victims.
