Commissioner Diaz to join DJ Laz and HITS 97.3 to collect toys for Toys for Tots

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz, DJ Laz and HITS 97.3 will be collecting toys for the annual Toys for Tots campaign for children in the community on Sunday, Dec. 16 from noon to 5 p.m. at Tropical Park, 7900 SW 40th Street.

The event will feature a motorcycle and car show, music, food vendors and activities for kids. Event goers should bring an unwrapped toy or $10. The toys collected will benefit children at Radio Lollipop at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, His House Children’s home and the Toys for Tots campaign for less fortunate children in the community.

Toys for Tots is a national project of the United States Marine Corps Reserve which began in 1947 in Los Angeles.
