Four-Way Stop Control Installed to Improve Traffic Safety on NW 2nd Street
In response to a constituent request presented at Commissioner Jose "Pepe" Diaz' Town Hall Meeting of April 16, 2007, a Four-Way Stop sign was installed by the Public Works Department at the intersection of NW 2 Street and NW 129 Avenue.
A traffic study to explore the feasibility of installing a traffic circle was conducted, but due to an existing large electric transmission pole located at the southeast corner, a traffic circle could not be constructed at this intersection.
Economic Stimulus Payment
Commissioner Jose "Pepe" Diaz and District 12 Mayors are working together to ensure Social Security and Veteran's Benefits recipients file the IRS Form 1040A necessary to receive the Economic Stimulus Payment.
