District 12 seniors participated in a celebrity-filled holiday lunch hosted by Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --
More than 1,200 seniors living in district 12 enjoyed the annual holiday luncheon by Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz on Wednesday, December 5 at the Doubletree Hotel.

Some of the celebrities who made an appearance at this event include Carlos Calderon and Cuban singer Willy Chirino, who surprised the seniors in attendance by singing A Cappella style his hit song “Soy Guajiro”.

“I love hosting this event every year,” said Commissioner Diaz. “It not only brings the seniors together but I’m grateful that the celebrities who come to the party are able to bring so much joy and holiday cheer to the seniors in my district.”

The seniors also received small gifts and raffles that included gift baskets, televisions, and microwaves. Sponsors for this event included the Miami Marlins and Flagler Development.
