Hialeah Gardens Branch Library project moves forward


MIAMI-DADE COUNTY – The Miami-Dade County Commission on July 10 approved a resolution sponsored by Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz awarding the design-build services contract for the Miami-Dade Public Library System’s new Hialeah Gardens Branch Library to State Contracting & Engineering Corporation. The library will be located in the Westland Gardens Park complex at 10351 NW 107th Ave. and will replace the existing leased storefront location.

“This library will be a great asset to our residents in District 12, and I join Hialeah Gardens Mayor Yioset De La Cruz and the residents of Hialeah Gardens in celebrating this project,” said Commissioner Diaz.

The approximately 13,500-square-foot facility that will include amenities such as a café, an outdoor covered seating area, a community multi-purpose room, a digital media center, flexible interior spaces, and seating areas and spaces that allow for a wide range of activities and uses.
