Commissioner Esteban Bovo, Jr. reads to children at the Palm Springs North library during National Library Week.
Commissioner Esteban Bovo, Jr. participated in Miami-Dade’s National Library Week celebration by reading to children from a local day care in his district. The commissioner visited the Palm Springs North Branch Library on Monday, April 9, 2012 and read to the youngsters. The reading was coordinated by the Miami-Dade Public Library System.
Libraries across the country are participating in National Library Week, which takes place from April 8-14 this year. Residents are encouraged to visit their local library and see everything it has to offer.
“Miami-Dade County has an extensive array of services available at our public libraries, from kids programs to special literacy classes for the young and old,” said Commissioner Bovo. “They’re an invaluable resource in our community.”
