(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- On Monday, May 14, 2012, Commissioner Esteban Bovo, Jr. will be presenting a check for over $4,000 to City of Hialeah officials for the Goodlet Park Theater. The presentation will take place at the theater at 4200 West 8th Avenue at 7 p.m.
The funding will be used for the theater's Cultural Arts Program, which offers a wide array of classes, specialized troupes and productions throughout the year. Cultural Arts classes are open to children 6 to 17 years of age. Kids can explore ballet, flamenco, jazz, modern dance, hip hop, tap, salsa, belly dancing, drama, voice, musical theatre, piano, photography, and modeling.
The funding Commissioner Bovo is giving to the City of Hialeah will specifically be used to help support fees for children to take classes, and ensure the program has sufficient monies to continue classes over the summer.
