Commissioner Bovo to help host citizenship workshop


MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Esteban Bovo Jr., State Sen. Rene Garcia and the Libre Initiative will host a free two-day U.S. citizenship exam preparation class for immigrant residents on Friday, May 6 from 4 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, May 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Miami Dade College Hialeah campus, 1780 West 49th Street, Hialeah, FL 33012.

The workshop will have a certified professor who will cover U.S. civics and history questions appearing on the exam. Specialists will help attendees fill out the U.S. citizenship application, and pro-bono attorneys will be available if needed.
