Commissioner Bovo to partner with Farm Share for free food distribution on Nov. 23 at Amelia Earhart Park


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

Miami-Dade County Commissioner Esteban Bovo, Jr. is partnering with Farm Share, State Sen. Rene Garcia, and State Reps. Frank Artiles, Manny Diaz Jr., Eddy Gonzales and Jose Oliva, to present a free food distribution event on Saturday, November 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Amelia Earhart Park, 401 E. 65th Street in Hialeah. The food distribution will take place in Shelters 7, 8 and 9.

Food will be distributed on a first come, first served basis to the first 1,000 families who arrive to receive food either by car (drive-by) or walk-in.

There are no requirements to participate in the food distribution, but attendees who come by car must bring an event flyer for free park admission. Flyers are available at and can also be obtained by email or in person from Commissioner Bovo’s office by calling 305-820-8424. Anyone driving in without a flyer must pay $6 admission per vehicle to enter the park. Walk-ins are free without a flyer.

“This food distribution will allow hundreds of families in our community to enjoy a happy and nutritious Thanksgiving this year,” Commissioner Bovo said. “I applaud Farm Share and all our partners for their efforts to make sure residents have a joyful holiday season with their families and friends.”
