Commissioner Esteban Bovo, Jr.'s office to host Golden Passport event

(MIAMI-DADE, FL) – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Esteban Bovo, Jr.’s office will host a Golden Passport outreach event on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Commissioner Bovo’s District Office, 1490 West 68th Street, Suite 101, Hialeah, FL 33014.

Miami-Dade County residents who are 65 years or older and Social Security beneficiaries can register for or renew their Golden Passport EASY Card, which allows them to ride free on Miami-Dade Transit. Residents’ address must be current and correct within the department’s system, and they must bring the following documents:

•               Picture identification (current, valid Florida I.D. or driver’s license)
•               Social Security card
•               A current year printout from the Social Security Administration, verifying continued eligibility (if under 65 years of age)
•               Golden Passport EASY Card (for those renewing their cards)
