Commissioner Bovo invites you to the Great Miami Lakes Historical Scavenger Hunt
(MIAMI-DADE, FL) – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Esteban Bovo Jr., the Town of Miami Lakes, and Katherine Duarte invite the public to the Great Miami Lakes Historical Scavenger Hunt, a FREE and fun way for the community to learn more about the history of Miami Lakes. The scavenger hunt will take place on Saturday, March 8th, 2014, at the parking lot behind Shula’s Hotel 6842 Main Street, Miami Lakes FL 33014. Sign-In will begin at 9am.
The Great Miami Lakes Historical Scavenger Hunt is a fun way to help residents learn more about the Town of Miami Lakes. This year, there will be three categories for participants: Individuals that are middle and high school students; Family and groups of 4; and lastly, senior citizens. All participants must register online prior to the scavenger hunt at http://www.mlhistoryhunt.com/.
The first participant to turn in a correctly completed map from each category will receive the grand prize for that category. The prizes are as followed:
- Individual Category - Night around Town!
- Family/Group Category - A free room for a one night stay in Orlando, FL at the Radisson Resort Orlando for up to 4 people.
- Adults/Senior Citizens - Gift Certificates to Shula's 2 Steak House
In addition to the grand prizes, participants will have the opportunity to win raffles that include: One semester of free classes for adults or children at Rhythm & Pitch School of Music and Performing Arts; Menchie's Gift Certificates; On the Border Gift Certificates; Papa John's - Free Pizza Gift Certificates; Ruby Tuesday's Gift Certificates and more!
