Residents offered free access to new COVID-19 therapeutics

MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commissioner René Garcia, in collaboration with Miami Lakes Mayor Manny Cid, will offer residents free access to new COVID-19 therapeutics on Wednesday, Feb. 24. The free trials will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Miami Lakes United Methodist Church, 14800 NW 67th Ave., Miami Lakes Florida 33014. Halodine will also be in attendance giving out their line of medical-grade nasal and oral sanitizers.

Elixia, a South Florida research company, is supplying South Florida residents with new Emergency Use Authorization and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) COVID-19 therapeutics. Through this initiative, the community will have free access to many of the newly developed medications that have been successful in treating and preventing COVID-19 around the world. Elixia, along with its dual partnership with pharmaceutical companies AstraZeneca and Eli Lilly, will offer several clinical trials, including Antibody Therapy and Preventative Therapeutics, to combat COVID-19.

Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 may be eligible to receive antibody therapy from Eli Lilly, which has demonstrated success in treating COVID-19 more effectively than any other therapeutic on the market. Healthy South Florida residents who want to achieve immunity may qualify to receive direct exposure to antibodies which may offer protection against the virus for up to 12 months. This is an effective alternative to vaccines, especially for those who may be high-risk or ineligible to receive a vaccine due to age restriction. This option could be an alternative to vaccines as it may prove to be more effective in establishing immunity against newer strains of COVID-19. Currently, these therapeutics are being used in over 41 countries and have demonstrated tremendous success in the efforts to eradicate this deadly virus.

The free trials began on Feb. 22 and will continue to take place from Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the same location.

Those interested in participating in these trials should call 1-844-380-3793 to register. For more information, visit Blaze1.com for treatment or C19Provent.com for Preventative Therapeutics or email any questions to [email protected].
