Senator René García to host a food drive, luncheon honoring local heroes

MIAMI-DADE – To honor the first responders who serve as local heroes in Miami-Dade County, Senator René García is partnering with Farm Share to host a drive-thru food distribution from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 19, at Amelia Earhart Park, located at 401 E 65th St., in Hialeah.

The drive-thru food distribution will be followed by a First Responders’ Luncheon, sponsored by American Legion Post 144, which will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Sports Soccer Pavilion.

Food will be distributed on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.
