The Department of Procurement Management is pleased to announce enhancements to its bid protest process. On September 12, 2006, the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance No. 06-124, officially changing the bid protest period to three County workdays for all solicitations valued over $25,000.
Bidders/Proposers may protest an award recommendation by filing a written intent to protest with the Clerk of the Board within three (3) work days of the filing of the award recommendation. This three day period begins on the work day after the filing of the award recommendation. The bidder/proposer must then file all pertinent documents and supporting evidence with the Clerk of the Board and mail copies to all participants in the competitive process and to the County Attorney within three (3) work days after the filing of the written intent to protest.
The amended bid protest procedure applies to all competitive solicitations opening on or after November 1, 2006.
