Miami-Dade Departments of Solid Waste Management, Park and Recreation teach Miami-Dade summer campers about recycling at Continental Park


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 
The Miami-Dade Department of Solid Waste Management and Miami-Dade Parks joined forces Monday to teach 130 summer campers about the importance of recycling and proper waste management.  The event was part of Miami-Dade Parks' "Fit to Play, Green it Up" summer camps program, designed to teach children about the health benefits of going green.
