Community Events

Miami EcoAdventures was established by the nationally renowned Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces department – one of the largest networks of parks, beaches, wildlife-landscapes, wetlands, and recreational gems in the United States. With six nature centers, we offer education programs and outdoor adventures tailored to all ages, abilities, and skill levels. Experts of outdoor discovery, we are adventurers, educators and stewards of the fascinating subtropical south Florida ecosystem.

Whether you're a seasoned nature explorer or a novice with a desire to learn, Miami EcoAdventures can help you determine which programs are best suited for you. Kayak and snorkel off Key Biscayne, go on a wildflower walk in the Everglades, canoe quiet mangrove backwaters, bike through scenic trails, enjoy a day of kayak fishing with an expert guide, or join a nighttime owl walk. These are just some of the more popular outdoor adventures we offer to locals and tourists alike.

We invite you to come on an EcoAdventure with us!

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer OpportunitiesYou can get involved by participating in one of the workdays organized by the Environmentally Endangered Lands (EEL) Program and helping to protect and restore natural areas in Miami-Dade County.

The workdays are fun, hands-on activities throughout all kinds of interesting natural areas. Community hours are available through this volunteer program.
