Miami-Dade Teen Court Helps Students Make The Connection
Miami-Dade County Teen Court, a program of the Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust, unveiled “Making the Connection” at its recent Juvenile Justice Forum.
Making the Connection is an initiative aimed at exposing students to various professional opportunities and environments. Each student was paired with an industry professional and a Teen Court staff member.
Participants were exposed to new career paths and experienced to realities experienced by professionals including: day-to-day happenings, what types of sacrifices they made, and industry best practices.
These interactions gave students access and insights for their professional development.
This initiative is another example of Teen Court’s commitment to youth empowerment and development.
