Registered Voters Will Receive a Sample Ballot By Mail Just In Time for Early Voting

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --
Miami-Dade County registered voters will receive a sample ballot by mail this week from the Elections Department. The sample ballot printed in English, Spanish and Creole contains valuable information including actual ballot questions, Early Voting locations and hours of operation, how to request an absentee ballot and examples of proper ID that is required at the polls.

In addition to the presidential candidate races, voters can expect a proposed constitutional amendment regarding “property tax exemptions; limitations on property tax assessments” as well as three Miami-Dade County questions.

"Sample ballots are mailed to the homes of all registered voters so they know exactly what to expect on the ballot. This gives voters the opportunity to learn about important issues in advance of Election Day. It also promotes the three ways to vote – Absentee, Early Voting, and Election Day. Voting is so convenient now, that all voters should take advantage of the opportunity," said Lester Sola, Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections.

Sample ballots are also available at:

  • The Elections Department offices (2700 NW 87 Avenue & 111 NW 1 Street, West Lobby)
  • County Commission Offices
  • City Halls
  • Team Metro Offices
  • Public Libraries
  • Community Action Agency Centers
  • The Elections Department website
