Miami-Dade Elections Department Encourages Early Voting

October 20 – November 2 Voters May Choose from 20 Early Voting Sites

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --
Beginning Monday, October 20, voters will have the chance to cast their ballot for the November 4 General Election at any of the 20 early voting sites throughout the County. To kick-off the Early Voting period and encourage voters to take advantage of this opportunity, Miami-Dade Supervisor of Elections Lester Sola will be available to members of the media on Friday, October 17 at 11 AM.

Prior to Supervisor Sola's Early Voting media availability, the Elections Department will be giving a tour of its facility at 10:30 AM, and will provide a fact sheet that will be helpful in follow up elections-related stories.

 WHAT: Early Voting Media Availability
Miami-Dade Supervisor of Elections Lester Sola

"We encourage voters to take advantage of early voting, which is one of the most convenient ways to vote," said Supervisor Sola. "While on Election Day, voters must visit their assigned precinct, during Early Voting, they may choose from 20 locations throughout the County."

Early voters should bring identification that contains a photo and a signature (such as a Florida driver's license). While their Voter Information Card is not mandatory, it will facilitate the check-in process.  Those voters who do not have proper identification will be required to vote via provisional ballot.
